Great Stay

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Trout Lake apartment. It was well decorated, comfortable, clean, everything you needed was there. The location was great for us and the park near by was nice to walk to.

Very Satisfied

I rented out the Trout Lake apartment while my in-laws were visiting from overseas. I was very impressed with Janet who responded right away to any of my emails. The house itself is very clean and modern and fit the needs of my family very well. They were very impressed with their accommodation and with Vancouver as well. Thanks Janet! I would recommend this rental unit to anyone looking for furnished accommodation in Vancouver.

Home from home

Janet and Cecilia who arranged the let couldn't have been more helpful and considerate. And the house was lovely, equipped with everything you might need and very comfortable. It was situated just across from the park at Trout Lake. You can even bathe in the Lake if that's what takes your fancy and there's a great Farmers' Market there on a Saturday morning. We were a short trip by Skytrain from the centre of Vancouver which I liked as, wonderful though the city is, it was good to escape to a quieter location in the evening. The only downside? It was a bit of a walk - maybe 15/20 minutes to the nearest supermarket- but you just have to organise yourself a bit. Walk just a little bit further and there's a fabulous array of foodstores in Commercial Drive. Highly recommended. As to Vancouver itself, don't bother with a map. Just ask directions and you will invariably be escorted there! Wonderfully hospitable people.

Great Home away from home - 7 months

This was my home away from home for 7 months while I worked in Vancouver for the Olympics.

Great features of the home/location include:
-Very close to transit (both bus and sky train)
-Safe quiet neighbourhood
-Close to amazing park
-Close to grocery store and other shopping on Commercial
-Only minutes to Downtown on transit or driving

The landlord was fantastic to deal with. I only contacted her for very minor questions, and they were addressed immediately.

The home is kept very well. I recommend it to anyone.

The location of the Garden apartment was perfect! 10 minutes walk to both broadway and nanaimo sky-train stations, accessing both train line routes, meant getting anywhere in the city simple!

The apartment had everything! From every kitchen appliance and utensil imaginable, to towels, sheets and spare blankets. We arrived with little more than our bags and had to buy nothing.

Everything was included in the price, with internet, phone, hydro, refuse, and a full monthly mandatory clean, it was great value for our group.

The big sunny garden was impeccably maintained, and with Trout Lake park a minute away, the apt was perfect.

Perfect Location

The property is in a quiet neighborhood, which is close to transit and a beautiful park minutes away. It's the perfect location.

The house is nicely furnished, with everything you need which gives it a homely feel to the place.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here.

Great clean set up in a good location

Professional couple (with dog) moving into the Vancouver market, rented the main floor at Trout Lake for the period October 2007 through February 2008.

We enjoyed everything about the experience, from the proximity to downtown/Commercial Street/the North Shore to the park a few houses away to the condition of the home itself....

Janet was a very responsive landlord and her staff were always courteous, on time and tidy.

Anyone wanting a "home" should stay at Trout Lake - Dave, Fran and Shooter

Great furnished place!

We used the Trout Lake apartment as our "home" for the first 2 months after moving to Vancouver. Perfectly located near Trout Lake, Commercial Drive and the Skytrain. Accomodations were beautiful, well-kept and reasonably priced. Highly recommended!

Great central location

We were put up in this 3 bedroom upstairs duplex from mid-March through June 2008, during a company move. Sometimes only my husband was there, sometimes I was with him, part of the time one or both of our daughters joined us, and even a couple of our dogs occasionally. We managed remarkably well over such a long period. The house is well designed, so we didn't really feel cramped, even though it is 1/3 the size of the home we had left.
The location of this home is very central. It is very near a major road and a ten minute walk to the Skytrain, but it is very quiet. Trout Lake Park, with its offleash area, is just three doors down.
The house itself is extremely well maintained. The garden is lovely, full of beautiful perennials, and not a weed to be seen. The house is older, but beautifully updated and decorated. There are many kitchen cabinets, and it had every dish or utensil imaginable. The family room is a great place to watch the tv, the bathroom is spacious (with washer and dryer), and there are plenty of linens. My only complaints would be that the lighting in the three bedrooms is poor, and there is no ceiling light in the entrance/desk area. Closet space is small compared to today's homes, and one bathroom is not ideal for a family of four, but we were quite comfortable for a long period.
A cleaning woman came in regularly, as did a gardener, and a handyman arrived as soon as needed. Over the three month period we had a few concerns with maintenance and noise from the basement suite, and these were handled immediately.
We would highly recommend this rental to anyone. It is a beautiful and professionally managed home.

Great Home in Leafy Vancouver Neighbourhood

My friends and I stayed in the Trout Lake apartment for the 6 months to March 2009. The apartment came as a fully formed home, with everything we needed already right there. The kitchen contained all the necessary appliances and utensils and the bedrooms contained ample storage space and incredibly comfortable beds.

Moreover, any problems or concerns we had were dealt with swiftly, and our request for a faster internet connection was met without any additional charge. The view of the North Shore mountains from the back of the house is truly epic.

The apartment is located in a quiet, leafy suburb of Vancouver and is literally a stone's throw from John Hendry Park and Trout Lake. Right around the corner is a coffee shop and a community centre with gym and ice rink, and the hustle and bustle of Commercial Drive, with its array of transit links, is within easy walking distance.

All in all, highly recommended for anyone planning an extended stay in Vancouver.
